Shipping Policy

Cantlepost ships every order drop-shipped — saddle by saddle, piece by piece — from the independent maker or wholesaler holding that item. That keeps our overhead low and our catalog deep. It also means the timing, carrier, and cost are set by each supplier. Here's how it works.

1. How shipping works at Cantlepost

When you place an order, we route it to the supplier with that exact saddle or piece of tack in stock. The supplier picks, packs, and hands the package to a carrier from their own warehouse. The saddle travels one hop — from the maker's floor to your trailer — rather than passing through a central Cantlepost warehouse that doesn't exist.

2. Processing time

Processing typically takes a few business days while the supplier confirms stock, pulls the item, and prepares it for the carrier. Some suppliers are faster; some need a touch longer, especially for made-to-order or modular-width configurations. We don't want to overpromise on a number we can't fully control.

Once the package is handed to a carrier, you'll get a tracking link by email. From there, transit time is the carrier's.

3. Carriers we use

Orders ship via the major U.S. parcel carriers (UPS, FedEx, and USPS). The specific carrier and service level for any given order is set by the supplier and reflects what they hold negotiated rates on. Tracking is provided for every shipment; signature requirements, where applicable, are shown at checkout.

4. Specific timelines

Because the timeline is supplier-dependent, the specific estimated delivery window for your order — including processing plus carrier transit — is shown and confirmed at checkout, and again in your order confirmation email. If that estimate changes after you've ordered, we'll let you know.

5. Costs and destinations

Shipping cost depends on the item, the supplier, and your address. The exact shipping cost for your order is calculated and shown at checkout before you commit. Right now we ship within the United States; international shipping is something we're working toward but don't currently offer.

6. Address changes

If you need to change a ship-to address, email us as soon as you can — preferably before the supplier has handed the package to the carrier. Once a tracking number exists, we can't reliably redirect the parcel; the change usually has to happen through the carrier's own rerouting tools, and not all carriers or addresses make that easy.

7. Damaged or lost shipments

If a package arrives damaged, or if tracking goes quiet and the parcel never lands, email us at cantlepost@polsia.app with the order number and a few details. We'll coordinate with the supplier and the carrier on your behalf — file the claim, push for a replacement or refund, and keep you in the loop.

8. Where things stand with supplier agreements

As we onboard new suppliers, specific timelines and flat-rate shipping options will firm up. We're keeping this policy intentionally flexible so it can hold up as the catalog grows. The principles here — drop-ship direct, confirm specifics at checkout, route every problem through our inbox — won't change.
